'Varikuzhiyile Kolapathakam is the title that Malayalis would not easily forget. In the super hit Mohanlal-Mammootty film Number 20 Madras Mail, actor Maniyanpilla Raju appears as novelist Hitchcock Kanjikkuzhi. Varikkuzhiyile Kolapathakamm is the novel written by this character in the film.

The dream of the novelist who boarded train to Madras to make his novel a film will have his dream come true after 27 years.

But, Hitchcock Kanjikkuzhi has no connection with the new film. New comer Rajeesh Mithila is directing the film under the title Varikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam.

The shoot of the film has started in Alappuzha. Rajeesh himself has scripted the film. Amit Chakkalakkal will be appearing as the hero in the film.

According to reports a superstar will do a cameo in the film like that done by Mammootty in Number 20 Madras Mail.
