KOCHI: The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court at Angamaly on Wednesday extended the remand period of the accused in the actor- abduction case till February 7.

Among the 12 accused in the case, five persons appeared before the magistrate during the day. The court has now directed all the accused to appear on February 7.

Meanwhile, the counsel appearing for Martin, second accused in the case, alleged that the police were refusing to give details of the calls received by his client at the time of the assault. The court is slated to hear a petition by Martin seeking copies of the evidence on Thursday.

Similarly, the hearing on a petition by actor Dileep, an accused in the case, seeking copies of the video footage of the assault, will continue on Thursday. The court had earlier directed the prosecution to give the petitioner a list of the evidences submitted along with charge sheet.
