KOLKATA: The Kerala Blasters that is gearing up for a crucial match in the season of ISL has faced a terrible blow with Iain Hume, their star player, being ruled out because of injury.

The Kerala Blasters management has informed that Hume may not play in the rest of the matches of the season. Hume got injured in the match against FC Goa.

Meanwhile, Hume has taken to Twitter to say that he’d come back with full force.

Kerala Blasters, which is in sixth position in the league with 20 points from 14 matches, has a crucial game on Thursday against ATK Kolkata which is in eighth position with 17 points from 13 matches.

With a win in today’s match, Kerala Blasters can surpass FC Goa and Jamshedpur FC to reach the fourth position. Also, Blasters will have to win the remaining four matches to gain a position in the paly-off.

Under these circumstances, the absence of Hume, who has been the top scorer for Blasters in this season, would be a huge setback.
