Producers of the movie ‘Sudani from Nigeria’ Sameer Thahir and Shyju Khalid have taken to Facebook to respond to the allegations by the African actor in the movie Samuel Robinson that he was shown racial discrimination by the producers and that he was paid less.

They have said that Samuel was paid the remuneration as per the contract and now raising complaints that the remuneration was low is a breach of the contract.

“Since it was a low-budget movie, Samuel was already informed about the kind of remuneration that can be afforded, and he had also agreed to act in the movie for that amount. The contract was signed only after this agreement,” they said.

They also rubbished the allegation by Samuel that his remuneration was decided based on hi race.

“If he was unhappy with the remuneration we offered, he should have not cooperated with the movie. But pulling up racial interpretations to justify it at this stage is hurtful. Samuel is raising allegations based on wrong information that he received from elsewhere. Such a fate for a good friendship is very painful,” they said.

The producers added they hope that Samuel would correct his misconceptions and re-establish the friendship that they had.
