THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 38-year-old chief ticket inspector of the Thiruvananthapuram railway division was killed after being hit by a train at the Nagercoil Town station on Sunday after she had arrived in the Tiruchirappalli-Thiruvananthapuram Intercity Express. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) identified the dead as Meera, 38, of Tirunelveli. An RPF official said she was hit by a Kollam-Kanyakumari MEMU as she was crossing the railway track.
