THRISSUR: Thrissur district court has stayed the release of the film Mohanlal in which Manju Warrier and Indrajith are playing the lead roles. Sajid Yahiya has directed the film.

The court order comes in response to a petition filed by Director and Script writer Kalavoor Ravi, stating that the film was based on his collection of short stories titled ‘Mohanlaline Enikkippol Bhayankara Pediyanu’.

With this, it is almost certain that the film will not reach theatres on Saturday as a Vishu release.

Kalavoor Ravi has also raised a demand in the court that he needs 25 per cent of the profit from the show as compensation.
Manju Warrier as Meenukutty is playing the role of a hard-core Mohanlal fan in the film. Indrajith appears as her husband Sethumadhavan. The film is a journey through Mohanlal films, beginning with Manjilvirinjapookkal and ending with Pulimurugan.
Even during the occasion of film’s shooting, Kalavoor had come out with the same allegation. Later, he even gave a complaint to FEFKA, pointing out this.
