THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan has said that he viewed with anxiety the new phenomenon of some miscreants unleashing extensive violence under the cover of undeclared hartal.

“Many innocent people were attacked today. Many shops and business centres were attacked. Attacks held by certain terror groups in the name of hartal threw normal life out of gear. Nobody is accepting the inhuman incident that happened at Kathua. During such cruel incidents, people of the country have come forward united and reacted. But today’s isolated incidents in Malabar that destroy the communal harmony of the State is condemnable. What has happened is a dangerous phenomenon of some giving communal colour to the incident, making matters worse and reaping political mileage out of the incident,” he said.
