The news of Mega star Mammootty donning the role of Kerala chief minister had come out long before. The film, scripted by Boby Sanjay will be directed by Santhosh Viswanath.

Now a news report says that actor Srinivasan will be appearing in an important role in the film.

Azhikiya Ravanan, Mazhayethum Mumbe, Golanthara Varthakal, Megham, Oru Maravathur Kanavu and Kathaparayumbol are some of the well-received films in which both Srinivasan and Mammootty had united.

Script writer and actor Ranji Panicker and Vishnu Unnikrishnan are important stars in the film. The shoot of the film will begin by year end.

In cinema, this is not the first appearance of Mammootty as a chief minister. In the 1995 Tamil film ‘Makkal Adchi’, the mega star had appeared as a chief minister.

Besides the above, in the Telugu film yatra, a biopic on former Telugu chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, the role of YSR will be played by none other than Malayalam’s Big B.
