KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the state-level second anniversary celebration of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government on May 18 at Collectorate ground here. The state-level conclusion of second year anniversary will be held at Thiruvananthapuram on May 31. The LDF government enters the third year tenure on May 25.

The Chief Minister will also release a book, published by Public Relations Department (PRD), which contains the details of government's financial schemes. Minister for Ports Ramachandran Kadannappally will preside over the function and Health Minister K K Shailaja, Revenue Minister E ChandraSekharan, Irrigation Minister Mathew T Thomas, Transport Minister A K Saseedharan, Opposition leader of Kerala Assembly Ramesh Chennithala, and other people representatives will attend the function.

Various cultural programmes, including dance and music will be organised in the evening from May 18 to 24, as part of the anniversary celebration. A Mega Exhibition "Pon Kathir" will be inaugurated by the Health Minister on May 18. Around 180 stalls will be set up by various departments of the state and cooperative sector.

A Mega Job fest, for the aspirants of Kannur, Kozhikode and Kasaragod, Wayanad will be held on May 17 at Government Vocational Higher Secondary School. Already 3378 vacancies are reported in the Mega job fair in various posts including in Banks, institutions and other sectors.

The Chief Minister will inaugurate the Thalai Fishing harbour on May 18 at Thalai Harbour. Fisheries Minister J Mercy Kutty Amma will distribute the title deeds of the 127 plots and houses, allocated for fishermen families.
