KASARAGOD: Despite a ban on the aerial spraying of endosulfan on the State-owned cashew estates since 2000, yet another victim succumbed to the deadly effects of the pesticide here on Wednesday. Nabeesa, 50, a resident of Adka, one of the worst-hit Enmakaje panchayat, died at the General Hospital here early Wednesday.

Nabeesa, who had been diagnosed with cardiopulminary complications, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, hospital sources said. The woman was on the official list of endosuflan victims and had been undergoing prolonged treatment at various hospitals.
