THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Search has been initiated for the school driver who is accused of molesting a UKG student. The four-year-old girl was physically abused in a private school in the city on Monday, according to sources.

The incident took place in the school bus on Monday evening after all students were dropped offs. There was no ayah or a helper present in the bus.

Parents came to know of the incident when the girl appeared to be uncomfortable after reaching home. The girl was immediately taken to a hospital in the city and necessary first aid was given. Parents filed an official complaint to the Museum police following this.

The police have initiated a search for the bus driver Rajasekharan after registering the case on the basis of the father’s statement. The child’s statement will be recorded today by the police. The police have revealed that they have started necessary actions for obtaining evidence as well as to take the school bus into custody.
