KOCHI: Jalandhar bishop’s sexual pervasions was not exposed by the victim nun as she feared for her life, her sister has said, which comes as a shocking revelation. “If that had happened, the nun should have been another Abhaya,” she said.

The sister said that if the Jalandhar bishop had any clue that the nun would be revealing the truth, she would not have been alive today.

“The bishop had earlier threatened my sister that he would finish her if she revealed the abuse episode to anyone. Since she was not bold, she could overcome the threat. Moreover, she was also worried about the humiliation that it may bring to our family,” she explained.

Ironically, the church leadership asked believers not to support the nun and it even alleged that the nun was a part of the conspiracy to kill the bishop.
