KALPETTA:  Two motorcycle-borne youths were killed and another was injured when their vehicle skidded on the Kozhikode -Kollegal National Highway-212 at Muttil in the district in the early hours of Tuesday.

The police identified the dead as Anes, 19, son of Nazeer of Paredath house at Chedakkuni, near Meenangady, and Rahul, 22, son of Raman of Karakkuni at Kariambadi in the district.

Shahil, who was also riding pillion, was admitted to a private hospital here with injuries, the police said.

The incident occurred around 1.30 am.

The three youths were on their way to Kalpetta from Kariambadi, the police added.
