KOCHI: Though heavy rains are lashing the state, the situation is under control, said Revenue Minister E Chandraskeharan. As precautionary measures were taken, more problems did not occur. It would be challenging if any calamities occur again.  There is nothing to worry, the minister said while talking to reporters just before the meet convened to assess the situation in the state following rain ravages.

Meantime, the government will seek more aid from centre to tackle the rain fury. The central team which reached the state to assess the situation is still in Kerala. They have understood things directly. We expect the central team to submit an appropriate report. We need the support of the people to face the present situation and all should follow the instructions of police officers, the minister requested.
