RAJAKKAD: A body, appearing to be that of a woman, was found in Muthirappuzha river near Idukki Kunchithanni Ellakkal bridge.
The body is yet to be identified.

The floating body was spotted by auto-rickshaw drivers  from Kunjithanni town when they went clear roads at Rajakkad Elakkal, where there were landslides earlier.

They held the body using a pole and rope in order to prevent it from floating away. After this they informed Rajakkadu police.
Police team under SI PD Anoop Menon which reached the spot and pulled it to the river bank. The decayed body had lost its both palms and leg part under the waste.

After the inquest the body was sent to Kottayam Medical College for forensic examination. Police are also trying to find out whether the body belongs to missing woman Jasna, as the suspect so.
