THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The investigation report of commission appointed by ‘Missionaries of Jesus’ states  that there is a huge conspiracy behind the complaint lodged against Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulackal and the protest staged by the nuns seeking bishop’s arrest.  The nuns are protesting with the support of atheists. Bishop was not present at the convent in Kuruvilangad on the day mentioned by the nun in the complaint. The commission also suspects that the nuns in convent may have manipulated the details in the visitors’ register. The church will hand over the report to the police.

Meantime, the protest staged by ‘Save Our Sisters’ seeking bishop’s arrest entered its seventh day. Several youth organisations will reach Vanchi square today supporting the nuns’ protest. The protesters are happy today as the investigation team said that they will arrest the bishop immediately and the conflicts in the statements of the nun have been solved. They were distressed when the high Court on Thursday said that the investigation is satisfactory.

Meantime, the organizers of the protest have said that they will not end the protest when the bishop gets arrested. They said that they will end the protest only when the Church and priest community takes a positive approach regarding the issues of 35,000 nuns in several convents across the state. Stephen Mathew, who is protesting by fasting for the seventh consecutive day said that the government should involve in this matter to settle the case.

‘Save Our Sisters’ action council has decided to strengthen the protest. They informed that a convention will be held at the high court junction on Thursday. The priests and nuns of Angamaly diocese will participate in this convention.
