THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A controversy has arisen when the photograph of the nun who had lodged a complaint against Jalandhar bishop was revealed by ‘Missionaries of Jesus’ to the media.  They handed over the the photograph with a warning note that they are not responsible if the media publish the nun’s photograph. The photograph was attached with the investigation report submitted by the Church against the protest of nuns.

This move has stirred some controversy as there is a direction from the supreme court which bans revealing the name or photograph of victims in sexual abuse cases. The report states that the nuns have come forward with a protest as part of a conspiracy against Jalandhar bishop and the nuns were influenced by atheists.
