Speaking to a media house about Rajinikanth, Jackie Shroff says, "I like his simplicity and I admire his stardom, in fact I feel he's bigger than anyone in Hollywood! Such is his star power. I am going to act with him after Uttar Dakshin, it feels like meeting a brother after long. Being directed by Soundarya is like being directed by a brother's daughter, it's like family and it's going to be fantastic!"

Jackie recently did a test shoot for the film which will go on floors come March. "Technicians in Kochadaiyaan are A-grade, there's no way I could have said a no to Rajini for he's a dear friend and I respect him. My role is a strong one and the script is novice and good", he further adds.

'Kochadaiyaan' marks Jackie Shroff's second innings in Tamil cinema, he was last seen in critically acclaimed 'Aaranya Kandam' in 2011.
