  • The School of Management and Business Studies of Mahatma Gandhi University has invited applications for admission to its MBA programme. Graduates in any discipline with 50 per cent marks may apply. Last date: March 31. www.mgu.ac.in.
     
  • Applications have been invited for admission to the junior diploma course in cooperation (JDC) conducted at the cooperative training centres at Kuravankonam (ph: 0471 2436689), Avannur (0474 2454787), Aranmula (0468 2278140), Cherthala (0478 2813070), Nagambadam (0481 2564738), Pala (0482 2213107), North Paravur (0484 2447866), Ayyanthole (0487 2380462), Palakkad (0491 2522946), Tirur (0494 2423929), Tali (0495 2702095), Kannur (0497 2706790), Karani (04936 289725), and Chengala (04994 207350). Those who have passed SSLC or equivalent examinations are eligible to apply. Age limit: 16-40 as on June 1, 2012 (upper age limit is 45 for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and 50 for employees of cooperative societies). Applications forms and prospectus can be had from these training centres on payment of Rs.30 (Rs.10 for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes). The filled applications should be submitted to the respective cooperative training centres before March 31. The junior diploma is the minimum qualification required for appointment to the clerical cadre in the cooperative sector.

  • The Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore, has invited applications for admission to its Ph.D. programmes in the disciplines or specialisation such as agricultural economics or rural development, development studies, economics, education, environmental economics, ecological economics, natural economics, political science, international relations, public administration, population studies, sociology, and social anthropology.   • The Reserve Bank of India has invited applications for a written competitive examination for the appointment of 1,000 assistants. Graduates in any discipline with 50 per cent marks (pass class for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and the physically challenged) in aggregate and knowledge of word processing on the computer may apply.   • The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has invited applications for a common written examination for recruitment of probationary officers and management trainees in 19 public sector banks. Register online before March 30. www.ibps.in
  • The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department of the State Bank of India has invited applications for recruitment to 8,500 clerical and 1,000 stenographer vacancies.

Submit online applications through www.sbi.co.in or www.statebankofindia.com before March 26. The written examinations will be held on May 27 and June 3, respectively.

  • The Asian College of Journalism has invited applications for admission to a postgraduate diploma programme in journalism with specialisation in print, new media, television, and radio. Last date: April 30. www.asianmedia.org.
