KOTTAYAM: A Kurisumala pilgrim was killed and six others injured, three of them seriously, when the light commercial vehicle they were travelling in lost control and hit the side wall of the road at Puliyannur near Pala. According to Pala police, Jolly (54), wife of George of Thalanilkum Tharappel House, Vayala, along with her son Jose and their neighbours, had gone on pilgrimage to Kurisumala near Wagamon to participate in the Way of the Cross as part of observing Good Friday. The accident occurred on their way back home. There were seven passengers in the vehicle and all received injuries. Three of them seriously injured, including the driver, have been admitted to Kottayam Government Medical College, police said.
