KOCHI: The Kerala High Court granted bail to P Rajeevan, a CPI (M) activist from Kannur and an accused in a case relating to the murder of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) activist Abdul Shukkoor. The court ordered that he be released on a bail on his executing a bond of Rs 1 lakh with two solvent sureties to the like sum.

The court has asked him not to enter Kannur district except for complying with the bail conditions and should report before the investigation officer on Mondays and Fridays and should not leave the state without the permission of the court.
