THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition MLAs began a sit-in protest in front of the Nandavanm Armed police camp, demanding release of SFI activists who were taken into custody in connection with the clashes with police in front of the VJT Hall in the city. Deputy Leader of the Opposition Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and other MLAs, including EP Jayarajan, A K Balan, K Radhakrishnan, Elamaram Kareem and Sree Ramakrishnan participated in the dharna. They demanded that the injured be shifted to hospitals.
