THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Attingal police detained five schoolchildren in connection with the break-in at a local textile showroom on June 6. The boys were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board, which sent them to a correctional facility for juveniles in conflict with law. Deputy Superintendent of Police Prasanthan Kani, said the boys had used cutters and an improvised battering ram to break into the shop, and decamped with clothes and Rs 2 lakh in cash. They were arrested from a water theme park in Kochi.
