PALAKKAD: Some important documents of Mahadevamangalam Siva Temple at Shoranur, under the Malabar Devaswom Board, have been destroyed. Most of the documents, including the land records of 500 acres of the temple land and other properties, have been eaten by termites. Temple Protection Committee activists said that the temple officials had not taken proper care of the documents. The inventory of valuable copper and brass vessels used in the temple was also destroyed.
