KOZHIKODE: The Janamitram Janekeeya Neethivedi (JJNV) State committee has demanded that appropriate action be taken against those who misuse the laws to protect women and those lawyers who instigate them. The Vedi suggested that lawyers should be banned at the family courts. The Vedi demanded that the High Court directly investigate the complaints that had come up against the family courts in the State. It also demanded that those judges who gave verdicts in the family courts without hearing the men’s versions of cases, be disqualified. The Vedi proposed new family protection laws as it felt that the existing laws had failed to amicably solve family problems.
