The Commissioner for Entrance Examination has invited applications for an entrance examination to be held on July 22 for admission to the three-year LL.B. course in the government law colleges in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode. Applicants should be Indian citizens who have passed the degree examination with minimum 45 per cent marks in aggregate (40 per cent for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes). Candidates appearing for, or awaiting results of, the final-year qualifying examination may also apply. There is no upper age limit.

Apply online on www.cee.kerala.gov.in before 5 p.m. on July 2. The application fee is Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes). The fee can be paid in any branch of the State Bank Travancore using the bank challan attached to the online application printout. Candidates outside Kerala can take a demand draft from any nationalised bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable in Thiruvananthapuram.

To the printout of the online application, affix a self-attested passport-size photograph, identical to the one uploaded on the space provided. The application, along with the required documents, should be sent to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001 either by registered post or in person to reach there on or before July 3. The envelope containing the application should be super-scribed “APPLICATION FOR THREE-YEAR LL.B. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2012-13.”

Admit card can be downloaded from www.cee.kerala.gov.in from July 12.

The seat allotment process will be done through a single-window system based on the rank.

TISS entrance test

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, has invited applications for an online entrance test to be held on July 15 for admission to its five-year integrated BA-MA course in social sciences. Those who have passed Plus Two or equivalent examinations in any subject combination in one attempt may apply. Age should be below 20 as on June 10. Apply online through www.ba-socialsciences.tiss.edu. The application fee is Rs. 975. Applications can be submitted online till June 30. Visit www.tiss.edu for details.

M.Tech admission

Applications have been invited for admission to the M.Tech. course in five engineering colleges of the Institute of Human Resources Development.

Apply online through the websites till June 30. The printout of the filled online application should reach the Principal of the college on or before 4 p.m. on July 2, along with supporting documents and a demand draft for Rs. 500 drawn in favour of the Principal.
