KANNUR: CPI (M) District Secretary P Jayarajan said that party district unit has decided to protest against midnight raids conducted by police in the houses of CPI (M) activists in the district in the name of probing murder of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan. Addressing a press conference, after the District Secretariat meeting here, Jayarajan alleged that state home department was controlled by two home ministers. He also alleged that Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan had given licence to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Chandrasekharan case, to do all the illegal activities against the CPI (M) activists and that was why police took into custody innocent CPI (M) Moozhukunnu local secretary K Valsan and local committee member Karayi Sreedharan.

CPI (M) state Committee member M V Jayarajan said the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Chandrasekharan murder case has turned into Thiruvanchoor Investigation Team (TIT). Some of the SIT members were working as Congress party agent and organising fake campaign against CPI (M) leaders, he alleged. About 51 people had been arrested in the Chandrasekharan murder case in the CPI (M) party hunt and there was no wonder that the SIT may arrest CPI(M) State Secretary also, Jayarajan claimed.
