For the first time in his 20 year career, director Shankar is bringing up a front line Mollywood actor to play an important role in his new film. Yes, Shankar's new flick 'I' will have Mollywood star Suresh Gopi donning a pivotal role. Basically a romantic movie featuring Vikram in the lead, the movie will start its shoot by the 15th of July. A.R. Rahman is in charge of music while P C Sreeram handles the camera.

Suresh Gopi had earlier been in Tamil for just three movies, including Ajith's Dhina, and Sharathkumar's 'Samasthanam'.
