If all goes well, Kareena Kapoor would play none other than the Prime Minister of India in Prakash Jha's next. The actress would reportedly pair up with her Omkara co-star Ajay Devgn in the movie, reports Mid-Day.

“Kareena Kapoor will be seen playing a female Prime Minister of India in Prakash Jha’s political sequel. The film is expected to go on the floors by the end of the year and apparently it was Ajay who suggested that Kareena should play the role. Jha immediately agreed and after Omkara it will be her first major performance-oriented role where she would also be de-glamorised,” a source told the tabloid.

Bebo apparently is quite excited about her role. Sources say that Jha and Kareena have spoken and they are working on the details of the film. The actress will reportedly do an in-depth research on the major female prime ministers all across the world.

"She will then do research about their lives and their mannerisms. She does not want her glamorous image to overshadow her performance in the film,” the source adds.

It would be interesting to see Kareena's transformation from Chammak Challo to Prime Minister.
