ALAPPUZHA: Alappuzha Judicial First Class Magistrate Court –I remanded Fazal (29)a and Salim (20), both private bus employees to judicial custody in connection with a case of attacking a KSRTC driver T Suhalal on Monday morning. According to Suhalal, who is now under treatment at the General Hospital here, the duo stopped him near Alappuzha Girls HS while he had halted the bus there, and roughed him up. The rivalry between private buses and KSRTC over the services along the Thaneermukkom-Medical College route is said to be the reason for the attack.
