KANNUR: CPI (M) Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan said people who believe in democracy should came forward along with CPI (M) to isolate those who were making fabricated charges against the party leaders with the support of the right wing media. Talking to reporters after the district secretariat meeting here he said even accidental and suicide deaths were being reported through a conspiracy, which was planned at high level and false complaints were made against CPI (M).

Jayarajan alleged that Azhikode MLA, K M Shaji of IUML was encouraging religious fundamentalism in Kannur district and has 'set up an unholy nexus' between Congress, BJP/RSS and NDF against CPI(M) to tarnish the image of the party. The CPI (M) secretary also decided to organise evening dharnas at district centres on July 23 to protest against the alleged conspiracy of the right political parties and media. He said the CPI (M) would protest against this nexus and approach the press council to complaint against media, who were frequently attacking the CPI (M).
