The Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) will be held on August 25. Those who want to become teachers up to the 10th standard in the State will have to clear the test.
There will be separate tests for primary, upper primary and high schools at different times the same day, and a candidate may take all three. Applications may be submitted online on www.keralapareekshabhavan.in till July 31. A link on the site to an application form for chalan will help one choose the State Bank of Travancore branch to pay the examination fee of Rs. 500 each.
Submit the application online and take a printout of it to be sent, along with documents, to the Secretary, Pareeksha Bhavan, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram – 12. The hall tickets will be issued online from August 15. Those who have passed Plus Two with minimum 50 per cent marks and have TTC certificates can appear for K-TET I. K-TET II requires a degree and TTC certificate and K-TET III MA or M.Sc. degree with minimum 45 per cent marks and a B.Ed. degree. Those awaiting results of the qualifying examinations may also apply.
The website carries detailed syllabi of the tests. Candidate should score minimum 60 per cent marks to qualify. There will be 150 multiple-choice questions of one mark each, with no negative marks for wrong answers. The K-TET certificate will be valid for seven years.
MBA course
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, a deemed university under the Union government, has invited applications for admission to its MBA International Business course at its New Delhi and Kolkata centres. Selection is through a written test, essay writing, a group discussion and an interview. The written test will be held on November 25 in various places in the country.
Those who have a degree or appearing in the final year examinations of the degree course may apply. Access application forms and details on www.iift.edu, clicking the “ADMISSION 2013” link. The filled application forms, along with documents, should be sent to the Senior Administrative Officer (Academics), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi – 110 016 to reach there on or before September 3.
