THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vizhinjam police arrested a 23-year-old youth on charges of kidnapping and raping a minor girl. The police said the girl’s parents had reported her missing on Monday. On Tuesday, they found the girl at a house near Pachalloor. The accused Nawaz, a native of Vizhinjam, and a relative and a neighbor of the girl, was also arrested from the house. The girl aged 16 said that she had been sexually exploited for one month. A case has been registered. The accused was produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
