KOCHI: Three stone quarries where illegal quarrying was in progress were unearthed during a raid conducted by Muvattupuzha Revenue Divisional Officer S Shanavas in Maneedu and Mannathur areas. Ten vehicles including six excavators, two tipper lorries, and two tractors seized during the raid were handed over to the police. Raids were conducted following widespread complaints that illegal stone quarrying were rampant in these areas.
