Salman Khan is not celebrating Eid this year.

During a recent interview with a leading daily, Salman Khan said that he won't be celebrating Eid this year.

 "My good friend Riteish Deshmukh lost his dad Vilasraoji,” he said, adding, "I will therefore not be celebrating."

A new film each year on the festive occasion is, according to him,  his way of giving 'eidi' to his fans.

"I'm an entertainer. And my fans want nothing more than for me to give them a good film each year on this day," he says.

"When Wanted came on Eid in 2009, one didn't do it by design. However, after that, my producers started planning special Eid releases for me. And now, people say Eid and I have become synonymous.”

He adds segregating one festival from the other is not his style and that his family celebrates all of them alike.
