The World Taekwondo Headquarters at Seoul in Korea will officially confer a black belt in the martial art to top Mollywood actor Mohanlal.

This has been confirmed by Taekwondo Association of Kerala (TAKE). The honour is being presented to Mohanlal for his good knowledge in martial arts.

Mohanlal will be the first south Indian actor to receive the title. Earlier, a similar honour was bestowed on Bollywood 'badshah' Shah Rukh Khan.

A leading actor in Malayalam cinema, Mohanlal was last seen in Kollywood alongside Kamal Haasan in 'Unnaipol Oruvan', in which he had played a tough police officer.
