ALAPPUZHA: Re-tarring of the national highway in the district from Pathirappally to Haripad will be completed by May 2013, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has said. NHAI executive engineer A V Thomas said at the district development council meeting here that Rs13.5 crore has been allotted for re-tarring from Pathirappally to Purakkad, and Rs 2.6 crores from Karuvatta to Haripad. Re-tarring from Haripad to Krishnapuram will be completed in three months and Rs13.72 crore has been allotted for this.
