As the megastar has been hitting the rough patch consecutively with his films for the last couple of years it may be of surprise to see which of his film pulled off well to become a Tamil hit. Interestingly, it is the Tamil remake of ‘doubles’, one movie that started the losing tale for Mammootty in Malayalam. The movie is doing exceptional business in Tamil in the title 'Puthuvai Maanagaram'.

Featuring Nadhiya Moidhu, Y G Mahendra, and Thapassi in other important roles, the movie is getting ready to complete its fifty days in Tamil. Directed by Sohan Seenulal, the movie have screenplay by Sachi-Sethu duo.
