THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a stunning revelation, K.K. Joshua, the investigation officer in the Suryanelli sex scandal, told a television channel that Rajya Sabha deputy chairman P.J. Kurien was saved by Sibi Mathews from the scanal.

He said Sibi Mathews recorded only those evidences which went in favour of P.J. Kurien. These evidences were given by G. Sukumaran Nair were instrumental.

Moreover, there is no proof on where Kurien was from 5 to 10 on the day of incident. Kurien travelled by car without any escort.

Kurien’s photo was not shown to the girl on identification parade. Those evidences given by the girl against Kurien were genuine, Joshua said.
