THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: E.K. Bharat Bhushan has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Kerala. He is a Senior IAS Officer of 1979 Batch - Kerala Cadre.

He has more than 33 years of experience in administration and he has held various senior positions in the Government of Kerala as well as in the Central Government.

He is appointed as Chief Secretary following the retirement of K. Jose Cyriac. Presently, he is Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Steel, Government of India.
