The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Kerala (IIITM-K), at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, has invited online applications on www.iiitmk.ac.in/admission up to May 20 for the Common Admission Test to be held on June 7 across the country for admission to its M.Sc. and M.Phil. programmes in various disciplines for the year 2015-16.

Test centres

The test centres will include Kozhikode, Kochi, Kottayam, Perinthalmanna, Thodupuzha, Thiruvananthapuram, Anand, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kota, Madurai, Mysore, New Delhi, Patna and Trichy.

The courses offered and the eligibility criteria are given below.

M.Sc. - Information Technology; Computer Science and Information Security
Eligibility

BE/B.Tech. in any branch or bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications/IT, or B.Sc. in Mathematics/Physics/ Chemistry/Statistics with mathematics as a subject of study with a minimum score of 60 per cent or equivalent CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale in the qualifying examination.

M.Sc. Geo Informatics
Eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in any Science/Engineering/Technology branch with mathematics/geology/geography as a subject of study with a minimum score of 60 per cent or CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale.

M.Sc. Computational Science
Eligibility

Bachelor's degree in any Science/Engineering/Technology branch with Mathematics as a subject of study with minimum score of 60 per cent or CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale.

MPhil Ecological Informatics
Eligibility

MSc in Natural Sciences (Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science and Plant Science) or Physical Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry).

MPhil Computer Science
Eligibility

M.Sc./MCA/M.Tech. Computer Science/IT/Electronics/ Computational Science/Geoinformatics) having minimum of three papers in Computer Science/IT in the qualifying examination.

PG Diploma in e-Governance
Eligibility

Bachelors degree in any subject with working knowledge in computer systems.

Final-year students of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for all the above courses.

All Master’s of Science courses are affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology and the postgraduate diploma courses to the Directorate of Technical Educations, Government of Kerala.

Admission to M.Sc./PG Diploma programmes will be based on IIITM-K Common Admission Test/Valid GATE score. M.Phil. admission will be based on IIITM-K Research Aptitude Test/Valid GATE/NET score.

The application fee for general candidates is Rs.250 and for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates Rs.100. Instructions for online submission of application is given on the website.

A printout of the online application, along with application fee (demand dfraft) and passport-size photos, should reach the institute on or before May 29.

The course fee for the Master’s and the MPhil programmes is Rs.30,000 per semester. The course fee for the PG Diploma is Rs.75,000 payable in two instalments. For details, visit www.iiitmk.ac.in/admission.
