THRISSUR: The Pampady and Lakkidi Nehru Colleges which were closed for the past 42 days following the death of Jishnu Pranoy, opened on Friday. The decision to open the college was taken at a meet convened by the collectors. The colleges opened under a team led by director Krishna Kumar after removing P Krishnadas from the chairman’s post. The students entered their class rooms after paying homage to Jishnu.

In the meanwhile, the police are trying to recover the lost CCTV clippings of the college. The police have sent the hard disc used for recording the clippings to the forensic for examination. It is being sent as the clippings of the college on the day Jishnu died and that of the next day are found to be missing.

Blood stains were found from the vice principal’s room of the college. It was found when the forensic conducted an examination at the college campus yesterday. The stains were also found in the hostel room of Jishnu, toilet and the college PRO’s room. This shows that Jishnu was beaten in the vice-principal’s room.
