Singer Vijay Yesudas has already proved his acting skill in Danush's Mari as police officer. Now he is turning a hero through the film Padayi Veera.

He will play a village man. Dhana is directing the film to be shot at Theni and Kambam. Dhana was Maniratnam's assistant.

Vijay Yesudas said it was not the 'hero factor' but the story that attracted him. "The story is very different from usual stuffs," he says
