KODUVALLY: Police have seized demonetised old currency notes to the tune of Rs 30 lakh from Koduvally in Kozhikode. The seized item included notes in denominations of Rs 500 and 100. Three persons have been arrested in this connection – Farooq native Riyaz (42), Chaliyum native Muhammed Aslam (29) and Naduvattom native Ajith K T (29).
    
The three were picked up on Thursday midnight from near Koduvally Petrol pump. A team led by Thamarassery DySP arrested them while they trying to smuggle out the notes. They are being questioned. Police are trying to find out on how they were going to utilise the notes.
