THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More than ten students got injured on Friday following a clash between SFI and ABVP student activists in Thrissur Sree Kerala Varma College.

The clash broke out when ABVP men who are alumni of the college organised a cultural gathering against the SFI.

Following this, RSS men from outside entered the campus and attacked the SFI students. In the fight and stone pelting that extended for about one hour, many were injured and later shifted to hospital.

The SFI said the ABVP activists attacked students who had arrived for practice of the D-zone tournament. However, the ABVP alleged that SFI activists hurled stones at the meeting first. The police later rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
