THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leader Vayalar Ravi has said former chief minister Oommen Chandy is an apt person for the post of KPCC president.
But he said he would not suggest anybody’s name to that post. “I’ ll not publically state anybody’s name. Caste and religious factors cannot be overlooked while considering somebody to that post. That is a reality,” he said.
When asked about Congress leader Mani Shankar Iyer’s statement that leadership change is necessary in Congress, he said, “He is a person who forced his way into the Congress party from IAS one fine morning. People who talk like this are those who don’t know the Congress’ style of functioning,” Vayalar Ravi said.
