HYDERABAD: An Army Jawan allegedly committed suicide near his quarters in Trimulgherry in Secunderabad cantonment area Sunday.

The thirty-four-year old Jawan Sandeep serving in the Army since the last ten years ended his life by hanging himself from the branch of a banyan tree near the army quarters, police said.

He hails from Uttar Pradesh.

Police said he might have resorted to the extreme step owing to his unsound mental condition.

Police begun probe into the incident.
