MUZAFFARNAGAR: An undertrial prisoner of the district jail died allegedly due to illness here, an official said Monday.

Jail Superintendent Rakesh Singh said condition of Sanjiv (26), who was a patient of tuberculosis, suddenly deteriorated yesterday.

He was rushed to the district hospital where he was declared dead, Singh said.

Sanjiv was arrested in a murder case in May 15, 2015, the officer said.
