THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Mohanlal, who has won the national award (special jury mention), said on Friday that he was very happy for having selected for the award and he had never expected it.

For his acting in Munthiri Vallikal Thalirkkumbol, Janatha Garage and Pulimurugan, Mohanlal has won the special mention by the jury.

“I am happy that big-budget commercial films have been considered for national awards. Though the award is also for acting in a film from another state, this achievement belongs to Malayalam cinema. It is really happiness when our films get recognised,” Mohanlal said.
