NEW DELHI: The CPM is engaged in leading land encroachment in Munnar, alleged M M Hassan, interim chief of KPCC. M M Mani, a CPM minister has a role in it, Hassan told reporters in New Delhi.

Hassan said, “Full support of the Congress is there to evict encroachment in Munnar. The CPM is opposing when the revenue department and sub collector are trying to evict encroachment. Companies including Harrisons Malayalam have usurped plenty of land. It should be confiscated and distributed to the landless poor.”
